After many long months away, I’m back with a short video I came across that’s really inspired me. Off to Norway.
I’m addicted to caffeine. I absolutely need my fix as soon as I wake up, otherwise I’m in a bad mood. But a coffee by the water’s edge is even better. There’s the morning chill contrasting with the warmth of the coffee. The scents of the surrounding nature mingling with those of the coffee – it’s a real treat. You know straight away that you’re in for a lovely time. It’s also a way to slow down a bit and savour the moment by observing your surroundings, and above all to see if there’s any activity on the river. I find it so beautiful to watch the fish taking the fly and analysing the current to target them, and to know where to cast our fly. It also allows you to pick out THE fish. And in this video, you see some truly magnificent fish – it makes you want to head off to Norway to enjoy the rivers and the countryside. And round off the day by a little fire before turning in… Ultimately, I think that’s what happiness is all about: simple pleasures whilst indulging in our passion. And I’m not even talking about the little wee in the water!!
