TWO WORLDS ≠ TURKEY/PERMIT

What do you tie your flies with? For Permit fishing of course there is the Avalon Fly which serves for the best of both worlds: the Permit and the Bonefish, and then there’s the Flexo Crab… …which doesn’t have much anything natural about it… So the guys from Sitka, decide to tie Permit flies with Yucatan wild turkey feathers (not grandma’s boring old bird)! An adventure across two worlds that trigger the same neural receptors in us: those of pursuit and satisfaction — in short, the reward system!

Venture to the Yucatán where turkey calling champion, Beau Brooks, and filmmaker and angler, Max Erickson, attempt to bring two distant worlds together. The mission: call in the elusive, jungle-dwelling ocellated turkey, the holy grail of turkey hunting. Then take those feathers to the other side of the peninsula to see if they could fool the most unforgiving fish on the flats. When Beau first heard the unique call of the ocellated turkey, he immediately became obsessed with the idea of luring one in with a custom-made call. But as difficult as that plan was, the next goal was even harder—to have Max use the turkey’s brilliantly colored feathers to craft a first-of-its-kind fly that would entice a bite from the infamously picky permit. Watch now to see if they could bridge two worlds that have no business meeting on the end of a hook.

(Did you see how’s the guy is happy! That’s so nice!)
