America! Yes, it’s true that when you’re a foreigner, you dream of going there to fish. You’re fed stories of wild trout as big as thighs, dreamlike landscapes, excess, and then it’s true that today, you think twice before filling out your visa application… But anyway, I have to admit that it’s still (along with Argentina) the country where I’ve had the most fun fishing!
So here we are with our (virtual) friends from Wild Fly, and the great idea they came up with was to find the most boring state in the US and go fishing there! In the end, they didn’t choose the first one on the list, which was Idaho, but Idaho is the best place for potato farmers (the best in the US) and fly fishermen! So they chose the second on the list: South Dakota! Of course, we all know Mount Rushmore with the presidents’ heads carved into the rocks, or the Badlands, that desert in the middle of nowhere. But fly fishing? That’s a real adventure, and since a good movie is better than a long speech… watch it in full screen!
