It’s all in the title! You lucky dogs! You’ve hit the jackpot, the winning trifecta: Henry’s Fork, one of the best trout rivers in Idaho, Jazz & Fly Fishing (the nicest guys in Scandinavia, who play jazz and fish), and Marc Crapo, who is one of the, if not THE, top figures in Idaho fly fishing!
This film is a killer! It’s one of the best fishing films I’ve ever seen, and it’s not just about fishing. It shows you a river that sees thousands of anglers every year and is still stacked with wild, hard-fighting fish! And then there’s that laid-back, easygoing vibe, a lot like the Mouching spirit: buddies who fish, but who also love to talk, soak it all in, and wait for the right moment to spring into action when the hatch comes. No double-haul maniacs whipping the air for hours and losing sight of what life’s about. It’s a film about being in the right place at the right time, savoring every minute of the day, and enjoying good company!
So, guys, you’re going to have a blast (we hope) watching this film, which leaves us with only one feeling: wishing we were out there with them!
Every angler we met on the tour said the same thing: you have to fish the Henry’s Fork. So Jazz & Fly Fishing head to Idaho, where local legend Marc Crapo takes them to one of his home stretches of the river just as the green drakes start hatching.
The Henry’s Fork is famous for its dry fly fishing: clear, slow water and trout that look closely at every fly. When the big drakes come off, the river comes alive. After a long evening on the water, the band packs up their rods, walks into TroutHunter in Last Chance and plays a concert by the river.
