Fly to Zagreb or if you’re in Europe, treat yourself to one hell of a road trip from home (trust us, that’s the way to go) — either way you’re in for some serious eye candy. And you’re headed straight to where grayling and trout are waiting on your flies! The Kupa is pure gold, and it stays pretty chill if you steer clear of the well-known spots… your best bet is grabbing a guide who’ll save you a ton of time — maybe not on how you fish, but definitely on access and finding the good spots. I went out there years ago with Thierry Millot, we had a blast. There are other guides too, locals you can hire for a few days and then head out on your own after that (well, with your buddies).
