Nothing is more unpredictable than the upcoming weekend’s weather — we should be out fishing in short sleeves, hunting for shade and a cool breeze, but instead we’re packing our bags and stuffing in a down jacket and a rain jacket… Yes, climate change is real, but that doesn’t mean the weather is always going to be nice — what it mostly means is that prevailing winds are driven by ocean temperatures, and that melting ice has a direct impact on them. So we get hit with these insane heat waves followed or preceded by unexpected, violent storms. 2026 is shaping up to be another El Niño year… so in a worst-case scenario, if we end up with crappy weather, we bear some responsibility for it — we need to step up and make an effort with our diesel rigs and our oil-burning furnaces and it’s never too late to change!
Alright, we’ve bent your ear enough with our gloomy takes on the state of the planet. If the weather turns lousy and you’re not feeling the Roland Garros final or the Monaco Grand Prix (what a weekend!) — well, here’s the collection of latest films by Rolf Nylinder, where contemplation, the joy of the present moment, and a complete surrender to nature will give you some truly wonderful hours. And if you do make it out fishing, or would rather watch sports on TV, you can always come back to them later — they’re timeless, and every time they deliver that sense of calm and peace we hold so dear. The visuals are so stunning you can simply get lost in them, carried along by Rolf’s voice, which floats by like a cloud. Enjoy!
