Here’s something for your feet! You’re familiar with the River Salt boots, versatile, sturdy footwear that allows you to wet wade, walk on the flats, or wear them (which is more relevant to us) on the banks or in the middle of rivers. A tried and tested model, sturdy and with excellent grip on rocks! Well, here’s the new, even more effective version: the River Salt II!
So, let’s start with the same principle: versatile wading boots that provide good support and are sturdy! But the new version offers more features, in addition to changing from a green/gray boot to a more modern, sand-colored model!
The big change is how easy they are to put on! No more spending ages sitting against the trunk of the car tying your shoelaces. Now, the laces have a quick and effective manual tightening system. All you have to do is pull on the laces and lock them in place with the new system! Another advantage is that you no longer have to worry about laces sticking out, dragging on the ground, or getting caught in bushes! Now, a Velcro strip allows you to gather them on the upper part of the shoe and not be bothered anymore!
Now for the technical details: the first, in addition to the innovative lacing system, is strength and lightness. A protective strip runs around the shoe to better resist abrasion, and the Vibram Megagrip soles, which not only grip on virtually any terrain (we haven’t tried them on a soapy board… they are light in color, which is a priority for those who will use them on the deck of a boat, as they “don’t leave marks”!
