Scandinavia is still a dream destination for many of us. Big fish, lots of them, bewildering and wild landscapes, endless days and a feeling of absolute freedom. Unfortunately, most of us only get to spend a week there, or maybe two if we’re lucky. So when you’re offered a film where you can discover everything (or at least most of what) Scandinavia has to offer with the Flyfishingstories crew, you’ll no doubt start thinking about what you’re going to do and where you’re going to go this summer!
This film reflects a summer spent searching for new rivers, new lights, and moments that only exist for a brief instant.
Together, we traveled through northern Scandinavia. Sometimes far away, sometimes close to home. We fished at night, crossed valleys, changed our plans, and followed our curiosity rather than our certainties.
Not all places lived up to our expectations. Some nights were quiet, others unforgettable. But failure, at least for us, was never about empty nets, but rather about being present, learning, and discovering places we may never return to.
