Pop was hunting rabbits that morning when he heard that loud rattling sound he had never heard before. Now Pop had many fine qualities in him, but a fondness for oddity sure wasn’t one of them, and he was quick indeed with the Winchester. The poor beast never new what happened to it as a .22 LR shot right through it’s head. Pop wasn’t easily impressed either, so while Ma was taking a picture of the day’s bounty, all he was thinking about was where he would find a trout big enough to take that bait.
