But don&#8217;t worry, it&#8217;s still fishing!<\/h2>\n<p>The Patagonia that we imagine is only a small part of reality, like less than 10% of the Patagonian land area. The rest is a relatively arid steppe area beaten by the winds&#8230; So, on paper, it doesn&#8217;t look like much. But the truth is\u00a0there are plenty of rivers to give it a go with the Argentine trout &#8220;in the middle of nowhere&#8221; as they say in the States.<\/p>\n<p style=\"text-align: justify;\">Here, we are on a part of the pre-Cordillera with torrents and the beginnings of big rivers. All this in an atmosphere like &#8220;<em>Into the wild<\/em>&#8220;. Apart from a small town and gauchos with their cattle, there is not much else. And it&#8217;s for the best! Here, we are far from the amerrican anglers\u00a0who go down on their drift boat throwing some kind of indicators\u00a0as big as bulls balls&#8230;<\/p>\n<p style=\"text-align: justify;\"><a href=\"https:\/\/i0.wp.com\/lemouching.com\/wp-content\/uploads\/2022\/08\/MALARG%C3%9CE-09-02-22-89.png?ssl=1\" data-wpel-link=\"external\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"nofollow external noopener noreferrer\"><img data-recalc-dims=\"1\" decoding=\"async\" class=\"alignnone size-full wp-image-67344\" src=\"https:\/\/i0.wp.com\/lemouching.com\/wp-content\/uploads\/2022\/08\/MALARG%C3%9CE-09-02-22-89.png?resize=1170%2C780&#038;ssl=1\" alt=\"MALARG\u00dcE-09-02-22-89\" width=\"1170\" height=\"780\" srcset=\"https:\/\/i0.wp.com\/lemouching.com\/wp-content\/uploads\/2022\/08\/MALARG%C3%9CE-09-02-22-89.png?w=2142&amp;ssl=1 2142w, https:\/\/i0.wp.com\/lemouching.com\/wp-content\/uploads\/2022\/08\/MALARG%C3%9CE-09-02-22-89.png?resize=300%2C200&amp;ssl=1 300w, https:\/\/i0.wp.com\/lemouching.com\/wp-content\/uploads\/2022\/08\/MALARG%C3%9CE-09-02-22-89.png?resize=1024%2C683&amp;ssl=1 1024w, https:\/\/i0.wp.com\/lemouching.com\/wp-content\/uploads\/2022\/08\/MALARG%C3%9CE-09-02-22-89.png?resize=360%2C240&amp;ssl=1 360w\" sizes=\"(max-width: 1170px) 100vw, 1170px\" \/><\/a><\/p>\n<p style=\"text-align: justify;\">On the heights or in the plains, the rivers are superb. But here, dry fishing is not really king. It is rather with nymphs, streamers and droppers that we tease the trout. Clearly, the density are not the same as in our home waters. It is not uncommon on some rivers to catch more than fifty fish in a day. Not a single trout\u00a0has been released since the end of 1800 when a genius decided to implant them to eat them. So they are happy to share their spots and their secrets. And I can tell you that in a country where people know how to take the time to live, fishing takes all its meaning. The current flows between my friends the &#8220;Frenchy&#8221; and the locals, instant friendship! No need to play matchmaker!
