Many of us imagine ourselves going fishing there, dreaming of a gentle country that respects nature, with rivers flowing down pure mountains in dreamy landscapes! That&#8217;s our idea of Japan, and it&#8217;s not too far from reality.<\/p>\n<p>In rural areas of Japan, organizations that protect the fishery resources of rivers and conserve the environment are aging, and the continuation of their activities is in doubt. Kensaku Urakami, who was born and raised in Kamikawa town, Hyogo, works with volunteer anglers to protect the Ichikawa River that flows through his hometown.
