You might ask, well, he is the link between Jazz and Bossa Nova, the bridge between Brasil and Occidental music. But more than that he was the soundtrack of the 60&#8217;s\u00a0thanks to filmaker Claude Lelouch for whom he sang \u00a0the soundtrack \u00a0and acted in\u00a0his film &#8220;<span style=\"color: #993300;\"><a style=\"color: #993300;\" href=\"https:\/\/en.wikipedia.org\/wiki\/A_Man_and_a_Woman\" target=\"_blank\" data-wpel-link=\"external\" rel=\"nofollow external noopener noreferrer\"><em>Un homme et une femme<\/em><\/a><\/span>&#8221; (palme d&#8217;or at Cannes in 1966 and \u00a0Oscar for Best Foreign Language Film AND Best Writing). But Pierre Barouh was also the definition of\u00a0<em>Cool,\u00a0<\/em>his music always set you in a very special mood. He opened the doors to our Europeans and Americans ears to the real Bossa Nova, the heartbeat of Brasil. We owe him a fantastic documentary on popular Brasilian music <em>Saravah<\/em>. But Pierre Barouh also started a <a href=\"https:\/\/en.wikipedia.org\/wiki\/Saravah\" target=\"_blank\" data-wpel-link=\"external\" rel=\"nofollow external noopener noreferrer\"><span style=\"color: #993300;\">record company<\/span> <\/a>for all the most advanced French, Brasilian and Japanese music.
