After the award winning success of “Tap\u00e2m – a flyfishing journey” the filmmaker Daniel G\u00f6z presents together with Anton Hamacher in his new film Gaula – River of Silver & Gold<\/a> the fascination of flyfishing for Atlantic Salmon in one of the last wild rivers of Europe. The wild beauty of the Norwegian countryside over the course of the seasons is recorded in fascinating and technically perfect images. Unique aerial and underwater scenes transport the viewer into the world of the Atlantic Salmon.<\/p>\n

This film will massively raise the bar of flyfishing productions. It was shot over the course of the seasons on the waters of the Norwegian Flyfisher’s Club operated by Manfred raguse. It is much more than a flyfishing film only, it is also a unique documentary. Like “Tap\u00e2m”, the upcoming film was also shot entirely with Canon DSLRs, this time though they have put all this to a new level.<\/p>\n

They used a custom-build remote controlled helicopter on which the camera was suspended. This way they were able to achieve aerial footage never seen before. For the underwater footage they did build a housing for the Canon 5DII, Daniel did either free-dive the river with the housing in his hand, or the housing was positioned on the bottom of the river. This way they could receive underwater sequences never seen before. The footage is en a par with BBC and National Geographic productions.<\/p>\n
